A new generation of bakkie-based SUV’s is due imminently in South Africa and fans of the segment will be properly spoilt for choice as the latest Toyota Fortuner arrives early next year, as well as a new Mitsubish Pajero Sport .
But first to arrive is this, the completely new Ford Everest. It launched only last week in South Africa and driven almost immediately to our studios so that we could give you an exclusive first look at this brand new SUV.
Ford has certainly taken the Everest upmarket; it is unrecognisable from the fairly demure yet popular model that it replaces.
We drove the car on the launch and you can read our first driving impressions here , and the video below is almost as good as actually walking around the car, and having a poke around inside.
